      Fawn Spots are our second act from North Yorkshire, they'll be pummelling you with their Rites of Spring / Husker Du infused Post-Punk.

      We've had the pleasure of seeing this York based four piece numerous times over the last year and we are overjoyed they're bringing their relentless intensity to Fragment. Make sure you check their critically acclaimed debut album 'From A Safer Place' to see what I mean!

      Richard Birkin is a composer from Derbyshire, United Kingdom. His music can take the form of soundtracks, string quartets, intimate folk songs, ambient soundscapes, instrumentals, piano pieces, audio tinkering or post-rock. Richard's work has been consistently impressive, from being a member of Crash Of Rhinos, through his time as Emphemetry to this latest incarnation. Not to be missed, he manages to turn every piece that he composes into a journey.

      Body Hound formed from the demise of Antares with the addition of former Rolo Tomassi alumni. So you know their pedigree but they are so much more, deafening colossal riffs meld with blast beat drumming and bass heavy grooves.

      This proggy instrumental four piece are sure to be a highlight of the day. Meshuggah meets Brontide / Axes.

      Falls are like a whirlwind of gazelle in a pantry!

      These beardy, shirtless Welshmen will shower all in sight with sweat, all the while thrashing you with their blistering riffs and spasmodic vocals. Think Baby Godzilla, Pulled Apart By Horses and a six pack of Red Bull.

      The Sawyer siblings are a Punked up Garage-Rock duo hailing from York. Elliot (Guitars, Vocals) & Dan (Drums, Vocals) wear their influences on their sleeves, channeling the groove of Queens Of The Stone Age, the energy of Nirvana and pop sensibilities of the Maccabees.

      Fresh from their recent BBC6Music airplay, these boys are going from strength to strength. Ones to watch!

      Over their four years together Super Luxury have shared a stage with METZ, Cloud Nothings and Big Ups to name a few, which indicates a little of their sound. Sludgy Noise-Rock, packed with distortion and feedback.

      Cattle are a Noise-Rock four piece from Leeds - double drums, vocals, bass and even a theremin amongst their arsenal. Incorporating Hardcore & Psych into their bone-crushing sound, they possess the aural power of a sledgehammer.

      If you're into the Jesus Lizard & Lightning Bolt then chances are you'll really dig these guys.

      The Summers brothers power-duo, Ben and Steve, are heading up from London to play some loop-driven intricate instrumental synth pop on guitar, drums and sample pads.

      Ben used to drum in Cats in Paris, so that's an idea of the kind of fun you're in for. Jeu are a firm favourite of SSH, with plans for a release in the pipeline.

      Instrumental 4-piece Waking Aida are bringing their Post Rock/Mathy magnificence to Manchester for the very first time and we are over the moon to host them. Simply put these guys create awe-inspiring music to soundtrack a daydream! If we had to pigeonhole them then they'd nestle in nicely with Explosions In The Sky, Alpha Male Tea Party & early Foals/Youthmovie Soundtrack Strategies.

      We're huge fans of Charlie Barnes and we're delighted he's bringing the full band to Fragment. Singer / Multi-Instrumentalist Charlie will be exhibiting his mesmeric self-proclaimed 'Big Morbid Death Pop' for all to indulge in.

      Having just released new LP 'More Stately Mansions' on Superball Music (former home to his heroes Oceansize) we will be sure to receive a healthy dose of this critically acclaimed new material.

    Turnitout Manchester and Super Smash Hit Records are proud to present Fragment; an all day festival of alternative music across two venues in Manchester's Northern Quarter.

    On Saturday the 20th of June 2015 we will be taking over The Castle Hotel and Gullivers to bring you an eclectic mix of amazing bands and artists. Mathy, noisy, thrashy, heavy.

    This event is a strictly over 18s event, no one under the age of 18 will be allowed in to either venue.

    In addition to the two main stages there will be a third stage in the back room of Gullivers with performances throughout the day.

    Also in the back room of Gullivers wil be a Record Fair run by some of our favourite labels. Details TBA.
